John W. Cairnes has a deep heritage in Harford County, where his family roots date back to the early 1700’s. The Cairnes family includes a long lineage of dedicated farmers and proprietors. In 2006, the John’s family was named a Century Farm Family and awarded an official citation by the Maryland Senate for “demonstrating commitment to our State’s agricultural heritage by running their family farm for at least 100 years.”
In 2014 his parents, George & Evelyn Cairnes, lifelong residents of Harford County, were given the most distinguished honor of “Harford Living Treasures” by the Harford County Council for their tireless commitment to the community.
